Privacy Policy
SampleROI is a sample-ROI tool for TikTok Shop sellers. It is made by Voraus LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company based in Seattle, Washington ("Voraus", "we", "us"). This policy explains what data SampleROI uses, why we use it, how long we keep it, and how you can have it deleted.
The short version
- We connect to your shop only through the official TikTok Shop Open API, using the OAuth authorization you grant. We never use browser extensions, browser automation, cookie scraping or your Seller Center password.
- Access is read-only by default. SampleROI cannot change anything in your shop unless you turn on a write feature, and every write needs your explicit approval first.
- We use your TikTok Shop data only to provide SampleROI to you. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it to advertise to anyone.
- You can disconnect at any time and ask us to delete your data by emailing [email protected].
1. Who this policy covers
This policy covers the SampleROI website (sampleroi.com), the SampleROI MCP server and command-line tools, the Free Sample Leak Audit, and any reports we produce for you. It applies to TikTok Shop sellers and agencies who use SampleROI ("you"), and to people who visit our website.
SampleROI is an independent product. It is not made, endorsed or certified by TikTok. TikTok and TikTok Shop are trademarks of their owner.
2. Where SampleROI is today
We want to be plain about this. SampleROI is in an early launch phase. We have not yet launched a multi-tenant hosted service, and we hold no third-party security certifications (such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001). Until we do, we work with a small number of shops directly. We will update this policy before we change how or where your data is processed.
3. Data we use
a. Data from TikTok Shop (with your authorization)
When you authorize SampleROI in TikTok Shop, TikTok shows you the permissions ("scopes") we are asking for. We request read-only scopes only, and only the ones we need:

We do not request access to your shop's finances, payouts, bank details or customer service messages. We do not need buyer shipping addresses, phone numbers or email addresses, and we do not keep them in our reports or files.
b. Files you upload
For the Free Sample Leak Audit you can send us Seller Center exports (for example, an Orders export or an Affiliate export). We use them only to produce your audit.
c. Information you give us
Your name, work email, company name, shop name, and anything you write to us. If you buy a paid plan, our payment processor handles your card details. We do not see or store full card numbers.
d. Website visitors
Our website does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and it does not set cookies. The company that hosts our website may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
4. How we use data
- To provide SampleROI to you: audits, reports, scores, alerts and recommendations about your own shop.
- To prepare write actions only if you turn them on, and only after you approve each one.
- To support you, answer your questions, and bill you.
- To keep SampleROI secure and to fix problems.
We use TikTok Shop data only to provide the service to the shop that authorized it. We do not combine one seller's TikTok Shop data with another seller's to sell or share it. We do not use it to build advertising profiles. We do not use it to train general AI models.
5. Read-only by default, and approval-gated writes
SampleROI runs with a hard read-only lock (SAMPLEROI_READ_ONLY=true) by default. While the lock is on, the software blocks every request that could change your shop before it is sent.
If you choose to turn on a write feature later, SampleROI first shows you the exact change as a before-and-after preview. Nothing happens until you confirm it. We will ask TikTok for any write permission separately, and only when you request that feature.
6. AI assistants you connect
SampleROI can work with an AI assistant you choose (for example, through the Model Context Protocol). When you ask your assistant a question, SampleROI sends the answer to that assistant. That assistant's own provider then handles the data under its own terms. You choose whether to connect one.
7. When we share data
We never sell your data. We share it only:
- with service providers that help us run SampleROI (such as hosting, email and payments), only as needed to provide the service, and under confidentiality obligations;
- with TikTok, as part of calling the TikTok Shop Open API on your behalf;
- if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or of Voraus;
- with a successor if Voraus is merged or acquired, under a policy at least as protective as this one. We will tell you first.
8. How long we keep data, and deletion
- OAuth tokens are kept only while your shop stays connected.
- TikTok Shop data and reports are kept while you use SampleROI so we can show trends over time.
- Uploaded audit files are kept only as long as we need them to finish your audit and answer follow-up questions.
- Disconnecting: you can revoke SampleROI's access at any time in TikTok Shop Seller Center. We then stop reading your shop data.
- Deletion on request: email [email protected] from the address on your account. We will delete your tokens, TikTok Shop data, uploaded files and reports within 30 days, and confirm by email. We may keep billing records and the minimum required by law.
9. How we protect data
We limit access to people who need it to run SampleROI. We request read-only, least-privilege scopes. We never put your tokens or secrets in reports, logs or chat. We keep the read-only lock on by default. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a security incident affecting your data, we will tell you without undue delay.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
11. Children
SampleROI is a business tool for sellers. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
12. Changes
If we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page and tell connected sellers by email before the change takes effect.
